Anna Hashimoto won the 1st International Clarinet Competition, Kortrijk (Belgium), and the 7th International Clarinet Competition in Carlino (Italy). She made her Barbican debut with the English Chamber Orchestra aged 15, with whom she appears regularly as a soloist, as well as concertos with orchestras such as the Brussels Philharmonic, New Japan Philharmonic and NHK Symphony Orchestras. She has released two solo albums, ‘A Touch of France’ and 'A Touch of Anna’ which both received favourable reviews.
She became an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2014. Her ensemble 'Atéa Quintet' are Associate Ensemble in Residence at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and Quintet in Residence at The Purcell School. She has been guest principal with the UK's leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, ECO, CBSO, City of London Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, and Philharmonia, and she is a clarinet tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
